Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DiKarabo Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“DiKarabo”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this website or contact us. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). For a summary of your rights and how to lodge a complaint, see our POPIA notice.

Who we are

DiKarabo Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a technology company based in Pretoria, South Africa. You can reach us about any privacy matter at info@dikarabotechnologies.co.za.

What personal information we collect

We only collect what we need:

  • Enquiry details you give us through our contact form — your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and company, together with your message, your service of interest, and your preferred contact method and time.
  • Technical information created automatically when you visit, such as standard server logs (for example IP address and browser type) used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not ask for special categories of personal information through this website, and the site is not directed at children.

Why we process it, and our lawful basis

We use your enquiry details to respond to you and to discuss and provide the services you ask about. Our lawful basis is your consent (which you give on the contact form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.

Where your information is processed (cross-border transfer)

Enquiries submitted through this website are sent to our backend service, which is currently hosted in the European Union. We are in the process of moving this to a South African region. While processing takes place in the European Union, your personal information is transferred outside South Africa; the European Union provides a comparable level of data protection. We will update this notice when the migration is complete.

Firebase Authentication (a Google service)

We use Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google, for administrative access and for forthcoming customer account and login features (for example building and ordering, and invoices). This applies to the secure, signed-in account layer — not to the public contact form on this site, which does not require an account. Where Firebase Authentication is used, Google processes the relevant account information as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use cookies to track you by default. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (a Google service) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and the general type of device and browser. Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner; if you decline, it is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer. We remember your choice in a single first-party cookie so we do not ask again on every visit. Where Google Analytics is loaded, Google processes the data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it to respond to you and for our legitimate business and record-keeping purposes, after which we delete or anonymise it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and respond to you (such as our hosting and authentication providers described above), and where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@dikarabotechnologies.co.za. For more detail, see our POPIA notice.

Information Officer and complaints

You can contact our Information Officer at info@dikarabotechnologies.co.za. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at https://inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent change.

Empowering ambitious businesses with secure, scalable digital solutions.
